The Opportunity
NanOptima is recruiting for a temp scientist to join its highly driven team based at Alderley Park, Cheshire. The successful candidate will be a core team member at NanOptima and will play a vital role in supporting the design and development of revolutionary treatments that will improve the standard of care in retinal diseases. Applications are invited from candidates with a master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in life sciences, materials science, chemistry, or a related discipline. A minimum 12 months’ practical laboratory experience in an industrial setting. Experience with bioanalytical/ analytical techniques is desirable, such as: Biologics assay development and optimisation, Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, IEF), Chromatography (SEC, RP-HPLC, AEX, HILIC), Immunoassays (ELISA, Potency, HCP).
About the Role
The role holder will be a core team member at NanOptima and will play a vital role in supporting the design and development of revolutionary treatments that will improve the standard of care in retinal diseases. Providing scientific and technical expertise to support NanOptima’s business objectives and product development. Responsibilities include designing and progressing experimental work, troubleshooting, maintaining detailed laboratory records, and ensuring high standards of documentation and laboratory practice. The role also involves staying up to date with relevant scientific literature and contributing to the overall running of the laboratory while adhering to safety procedures.
